Yesterday we met our workers who's doing cleaning at our school. Normally I started my introduction trying to advice them to do their job sincerely. I ask them what they are doing and the area they are working.
I also questioned them about their attendence. Some of them were always late. I reminded them the working hours as stated in the contract is from 7.00 am to 4.00 pm. With my consideration that they can do other jobs to top up their income if I release them early, so after adjustment, the working hours is from 7.30 am to 1.30 pm but on one condition, they must come to school on Saturday with rotation.
They should know that I have done my best to help them. If they are always late and are not committed with their job, they must change their bad habits or be ready to be fired.
Finally, I apologise to them, if my word hurts them and my advice are stern but from the bottom of my heart I hope they can do their work sincerely and whole heartedly.

WE DID IT OUR WAY
Last week, we held a curiculum meeting. Actually it is the last meeting for 2010 and before 2011.There is nothing important to discuss, as we are doing our programme that we had planned before. Just to remind all the teachers about house keeping they should do before the long holidays. The PMR students have sat for their exam, hopefully and Insya Allah they will pass with flying colours. Thanks to all the teachers for their support and commitment to achieve our 70 percent target for PMR 2010.
SPM will be coming soon. Now the students are doing their "Final Sprint"/ Pecutan Terakhir (PETA) programme to make sure they are focus, fully prepared, motivated and with high spirit to sit for the examination. We pray they too can achieve our target, to get 100% passes as our last year's result. At least we hope one student can get straight A's. To all my teachers, staff and students, always bear in mind our slogan UB THE BEST.

HIGH TIDE AT BERNAM RIVER
For me it is a big surprise, today when I arrive at the jetty. Many students and estate workers were stranded by the high tide of Bernam River. The water level rise up to the security post. It is my first experience since I become the principal of 2 years here .Yesterday the tide is not that high. Tides means the rise and fall of sea level caused by combined effect of gravitational forces exerted by the moon and sun and the rotation of the earth . Most places in the ocean usually experience two high tides and two low tides each day .The times and amplitude of the tides at the coast are influenced by allignment of the sun and the moon.
So we have no choice, either drive our car through to get to the ferry,or leave it at the houses nearby.
Without shoes and pulling up our trousers and lifting sarungs, I together with 3 PMR invigilators and 1 RO walk about 15 metres to the ferry. I recall those childhood memories during the raining seasons playing happily splashing and jumping with joy. Next, sending SOS asking those living at the quaters, to fetch us at the the river bank and 5 cars came to the rescue. The students especially the PMR candidates were also told to leave their motorcycles behind. A quick action and a right decision must be made to overcome the problem. The examination must go on as schedule. I am glad because the affected students stay focus for the PMR examination

YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT
Most people eat two or three meals a day.We eat because we are hungry and because we enjoy the taste of food. But with too many open houses now, we are force to eat.For sure, our body main need is for food that provides energy. Everything we do uses energy, not just running and moving around, but thinking, eating ,keeping warm and even sleeping. But if we keep on eating varieties of food and did not follow a balanced diet and nutritious meal , it is so dangerous for our body. We need to eat a range of foods from three main food types :Carbohydrates ,proteins and fats .If we eat without thinking and taking a balance diet, our body will become obese. We need to eat just enough food to keep our body healthy and gives us energy. If we are active and do lots of exercises. our body will use the food we eat to give energy. By balancing our energy intake and output, we will stay a healthy weight.
Actually, you can eat what you want to eat, but make sure you keep fit but not fat by doing regular exercisse everyday. Doing many exercises will help to burn fat stores. So when you attend any open houses, try to keep in your mind that you must take a balance diet of good health. A healhty diet is a balanced diet. Finally, it is up to us to see that we get the balance right for our bodies. You are what you eat.

D DAY PMR 2010
Today is the first day of the PMR,like the previous year i invited all the teachers to assemble together with the PMR candidates.I took the golden opportunity telling the students how important the exam is.I told them that one and two hours they spend sitting for the exam is to measure the knowledge they have acquire for the past 9 years..
Moving foward,as a student and as a nation we must accept the fact that we must be more hard working, creative and of course excel in our examination.I also told them in order to succeed, we must prepare to compete with the best in the world, and that means we must be our own self .I end up the session with the student shouting the sacred slogan U THE BE THE BEST .
